Over 300 Years of Laughter, Mischief & Timeless Entertainment
The tradition of Punch & Judy dates back more than 300 years, with one of its earliest recorded appearances documented by Samuel Pepys in London's Covent Garden in 1662. Originally performed as an Italian marionette show featuring the mischievous character Punch-a-nello, the act evolved into the beloved hand-puppet theatre known today as Punch & Judy.
Professor DeWitt proudly carries on this centuries-old tradition, bringing its colorful characters, playful mischief and audience participation to a whole new generation. From the wee lads and lasses to the young at heart, audiences of all ages delight in this lively miniature theatrical production.
DeWitt's Punch & Judy Show has entertained audiences from the seaside of Broadstairs, England, to the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Whether performing for an intimate gathering or a large festival crowd, the show is equally at home on your stage or in Brent's own covered tent theatre.
Bring a little timeless fun to your next event and give your guests something they'll be talking about long after the curtain closes!
